This is my Alice story, and I have to tell y’all that I now have a deeper respect for the animators at PIXAR! I only had to animate some simple figures and was struggling with controlling them; however, real-life animators have many more variables to take into account! It’s a tough job!!! I decided to build my story around a skater because it is my favorite sport, and I began experimenting immediately with the figure when we began with ALICE!

My video on my view of the world is about something I love, but do not do nearly enough of, and that is travel.  There is nothing like seeing something new for the first time, or trying a new food and experiencing the exotic taste.  The video is a collection of pictures and videos showing how unique the world is, and how everybody needs to explore as much as they can.  The music is Around the World, by Daft Punk, which I thought would be appropriate.

I had difficulties with the lighting (as you will notice)… whenever there is speech, the direction of the light changes which is not in the code at all and I have idea why it began to do that! Oh well, CEST LA VIE!! Enjoy!

This video talks about the stress I see in everyday life, as well as the love that I see in the world. It describes how I feel like we should worry less of work and jobs and the like and more on our family and friends.

my view of the world and how to change it

How do I view today’s world? That question was given to me by my Computer Science Class 106 professor, Dr. Wahl, at the University of Mary Washington. As I pondered this question, it was painfully clear that through adversity comes a deep appreciation for our freedom and all that is afforded to us through our system. Sometimes you have choices, other times you have no options. The choice you make may propel you to prosper, while other choices may hold you down like a weight to the ocean floor. We live on a beautiful place, earth. And this is the only planet we human can live on right now. So far we have done a great amount of work to destroy this beautiful place and this once clean, perfect for living place is becoming dirty and unlivable. Yet, the biggest problem is that most people don’t even realize what they are doing to harm it. It is very important to be aware of what we are doing, buying, using, and what it does to environment. This is my video story, it is called The world is BIG. And it is how I view the world. The song is I like Giants by Kimya Dawson. The facts are from the CIA world factbook website.

I had just gotten home from first grade when my dad asked me what I had learned about in class, an innocent question that I believe he would later regret asking. In a matter of seconds I was on the ground bawling, screaming “They’re killing it! THEY’RE KILLING IT!!”

“They’re killing what?” my dad asked concerned.

“THE RAINFOREST” I yelled back.

“Oh God, He’s going to be a tree-hugger!” My dad said as he walked over to my mom.

Needless to say, the environment has always been something that has been on my mind. SO when we got this world view project, it was completely natural that I choose this subject. I think that nature is AMAZING; however, we’re doing a great job at screwing it up.

This is a short story that I made using Alice.  It is a pretty simple story about an astronaut landing on a strange planet.  Strangly, there is a  baseball and bat right near his landing site.  The story was pretty simple to come up with, but the hardest part about this animation was the walking on the astronaut.

Kirby Versus Meta Knight

This is a photo story of my day trip to the beach with my friend, Shane and his family. His house was in Bethany Beach, Delaware. We woke up early and got on the road. Then we went to his house for a bit. After that we went to the beach. We sat around, tanned, and played in the ocean. After a long day in the sun, we went to the boardwalk and got ice cream and matching tye dye shirts. It was a pretty sweet trip. The songs in this photo story are surfing USA by the beach boys and chillin by wale.

This video used picture editing programs to photoshop the turtle into the pictures.  I thought it would be cool to use both the video editing software and the picture editing software.  I chose the song “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World because it’s about fitting in, and Alfie the giant radioactive turtle (whom the story’s about) is just trying to find a place where he fits in.

It was an honor being included in my best friend Laurens wedding and putting together this video commemorating the occasion.

Lauren is that once in a lifetime friend who is always there for you, encouraging you through the rough times and celebrating with you on your victories. She is someone I look up to and admire for she is always thoughtful and patient. Never once did Lauren turn into Bridezilla as she prepared for her wedding. Instead, she enjoyed and embraced each aspect of the planning and the wedding was truly a celebration of love. So heres to Greg and Lauren whose love makes me believe that there can be Happily Ever After.

This video is about cats, they are very different from dogs and seem to do strange things. For example, from time to time they stare at nothing or they sleep in a random place.  Have you ever wondered what they are up to? Most of the time I think they are hiding something from us. So, with the given oppertunity with my wild imagination. I have searched and caught evidence of what cats do behind our backs. Here is their side of the story:

Summer before my senior year of high school I went on a three week bike tour through Spain.  We started in Madrid, worked our way north, then went down the coast to Barcelona.  Unfortunately for me, I crashed my bike going 30mph going down a mountain.  I had already biked 300 miles and only had a week of biking left.  I was forced to take buses by myself for the last few legs of the trip.  Although that was a setback, it was still the most fun three weeks I have ever had.  This is a short collection of photo’s and my experiences of my trip.  Enjoy!

After a long day swimming at the community pool, and after having a fantastic home-cooked meal (a rarity in college), I decided the next best thing for us to do would be to make my friend Frances over in the image of Lady Gaga. “Makeover Madness: The Lady Fran Fran Story” illustrates what I feel to be some of the best moments in life: Good friends, good music, and good fun! There’s a lot that the major governments of the world aren’t telling their citizens. It isn’t about secret plans or global conspiracies; it’s simply about the alien life that we’ve come in contact with. This is the story of one such alien race with who resides on our planet. The ambassador of Zygomma is a position that is held for 30 years and then the ambassador is changed. Donald is an alien native to Zygomma, and he is reaching the end of his 30th year as the ambassador to Earth. Now he is prepping the next ambassador, his long time friend and mentor, Frank, on all the changes that have been made during the last 30 years on Earth. Frank in turns fills Donald in on all the occurrences that have happened on Zygomma during that same time. These two aliens meet in a restaurant in the middle of winter to discuss all that has changed. Listen in and see how our secret alien friends few how our world has changed, and even how their own world has.

The story is about a restaurant owner Taylor, who happen to pick up a order call during the busy restaurant hour. He gets order from a college student how happened to be studying for finals at the college library. Restaurant is really busy and no one is free to make the delivery, so Taylor decide to go her self. Now lets see what happens to Taylor on her first visit to a college library.

The Extreme Proposal

Our group was giving these four elements to make a story from: an environmentalist, late in the evening, at an expensive restaurant, and an important decision needs to be made.

The story opens and you are at an expensive restaurant named Garibaldi’s. It is 10 o’clock at night. There is soft Italian music playing in the background. There are not many people there, so it is very quite.  Jack Smith is waiting for Senator Grey to arrive so he can speak with him and for them to have dinner.
